Job Description: The
recruitment, selection, employment and training of
apprentices during their apprenticeship, shall be
without discrimination because of race, color, religion,
national origin, age or sex. Every applicant
must supply a copy of their Birth Certificate and High
School Diploma/GED that the committee can keep at the
time of filing application of apprenticeship.
Qualifications:
Welding qualifications: Applicants that have a welding
certification or welding training qualifications will
have priority selection over applicants with no welding
qualification or welding raining qualifications at the
time of application.

For Apprentice & Employers:
MRAP will
provide funding to employers who sponsor new apprentices
in U.S. Department of Labor (USDOL) registered
apprenticeships. The MWAs will work in partnership
with employers, to make available WIA-ARRA-recovery
funds to off-set some of the cost of wages or "technical
related instruction" provided to apprentices. The
maximum amount of wage subsidy or technical related
instruction reimbursement to an employer, per apprentice
is $1,000. Employers receive reimbursements in two
parts. One-half of the amount ($500) will be
provided when USDOL-Office of Apprenticeship (OA)
certifies the start of the apprenticeship.
The second payment ($500) will provided after the
apprentice has completed six-months of training.

Become part of Haas Automation's
Machine Shop Apprenticeship Program
-
The program is a structured, on-the-job
apprenticeship of 30 months
(approximately 5200 hours). You
will learn robotically loaded CNC part
processing, CNC programming,
hydraulically operated fixture design
and other advanced manufacturing skills.

This is a program at Haas Automation's
Southern California Facility.
Those selected to enter this program
will be required to relocate to the
Ventura County area in Southern
California.

Apprentices are paid, full-time Haas
employees, with full Haas benefits.

apprentice will start their
manufacturing career as a valued
