Each year, more than 100 scholarships are made available at OCC through private contributions. A list of currently available scholarships, criteria and a scholarship application are available through Financial Assistance and Scholarships.
Named Scholarships.
These are restricted scholarships that allow donors at certain gift levels to direct their scholarships for specific programs or purposes, and
to name their funds. There are two levels of Named Scholarships:

The Annual OCC Foundation Scholarship Luncheon is hosted every Spring at the Orchard Ridge Campus to bring together scholarship donors and recipients to tell their stories, recognize generosity and celebrate accomplishment.
Oakland Community College "Golf for Scholarships" Outing is held each August. Course games and prizes combine with great golf and networking to produce a sold-out event each year. Proceeds from this event provide a minimum of twelve full-tuition scholarships each year.
People are essential to the mission of the OCC Foundation...
Dennis and Susan Fiems worked at Oakland Community College for a combined total of 52 years. Together, they served the College
community in a variety of ways. Following Susan’s death in July 2008, Dennis established the Susan and Dennis Fiems Endowed Scholarship for Textbooks to commemorate and honor their shared passion and love of books and their desire to help others. He wants Susan to be remembered
for “infusing life, light and joy into the lives of all with whom she came in contact. She was an enduring, generous spirit illuminating
any corner shadowed by difficulty.” To date, the scholarship has been fully endowed and will recognize and encourage scholastic
achievement and progress by providing financial assistance to OCC students.
We thank Mr. Fiems and all our scholarship donors for their generosity and commitment to our students.
