The OCC NURSING STUDENT HANDBOOK
The OCC Nursing Student Handbook is given to each nursing student admitted to the nursing program. The Nursing Student Handbook contains the philosophy
on the ADN nursing curriculum, the organizing framework, the educational outcomes, the curriculum sequence and relevant policies and procedures.
FIRST YEAR STUDENTS REQUIREMENTS
Important Forms for the student in the Nursing Program:
- Emergency Contact information Form.
- Health history Form.
- Hepatitis Vaccine Form.
- Physical Exam Form
- Student Information Form.
Additional Requirements
Once admitted to the nursing program, the following are required prior to starting the clinical visits:
- Professional liability insurance, a form will be sent to you or can be completed on-line at www.nso.com
- History and physical examination
- TB test
- Immunizations
- Health Care Provider Basic Life Support (CPR)
- Drug screening
- Criminal background check
- Nurse Entrance Test (NET)
SECOND YEAR STUDENTS REQUIREMENTS
As a second year student you are required to complete and maintain the following prior to starting your second year in the program:
- Current TB test
- Current Liability Insurance www.nso.com
- Current immunizations
- Current Health Care Provider Basic Life Support (CPR)
