Gear up for success! Student employment is a learning experience. Part-time jobs can become useful career exploration venues. On the job training is available. Work-sites may include but are not limited to the OCC Campuses. 

Prior to accepting a job offer, students are encouraged to request a job description from the hiring supervisor. Typical student employment opportunities may include but are not limited to the listed work sites or job descriptions.

Hiring supervisors have access to your Student Eligibility form (JP11) on OCC’s intranet system and will select candidates to interview. As positions become available, you may be contacted by telephone or email or you may choose to contact the hiring supervisors. 

The rate of pay starts at $8.00 per hour. There is a twenty-five cent per hour increase for every 500 hours worked with a maximum wage of $9.00 per hour. 

Our student employees enjoy working a flexible schedule that doesn’t interfere with their class schedule. Also consider the time and money saved on commuting from school to work. Being familiar with the campus environment makes our student employees OCC’s most valued student ambassadors. OCC 's motto, "Get Anywhere From Here..." means that many serious student employees graduate with a degree and a letter of recommendation for employment in hand. Student positions are limited and all students are granted an interview by the hiring departments only after the appropriate forms have been approved. 

The number of student employment jobs available at any given time varies so students are encouraged to act now!
