NEWS & SPECIAL SESSIONS
 
  • OCC Adds Two New Program Offerings: Two new programs are scheduled to open fall 2010 at OCC. The Cinematic Arts associates degree is a two-year program that will cover multiple facets about the film industry, such as lighting, sound, screenwriting, and operating equipment.  The Alternative Thermal Energy certificate program will emphasize solar heating and heat pump, a "geothermal" technology.   Read The Oakland Press article about the new programs.

  • Financial Aid Application Available:  The summer financial aid application and the student loan application are now available on the Student Financial Resources and Scholarships website. Go to the OCC homepage and look for Financial Assistance under Quick Links. Applications are in the green box.
  • Internship & Co-Op Informational Meeting:  Wednesday, March 17, 3:00-4:00 pm, Auburn Hills Campus, Student Center, Room G230. Students who plan to register for an internship class should attend this workshop before registering. This will help you understand the program requirements. Register with Kathie House at 248.232.4140.

  • Interview Skills Workshop: Thursday, March 18, 5:00-6:00 pm, Auburn Hills Campus, Student Center, Room G230. Learn what to do before, during, and after an interview. Attendees will participate in mock interviews. Register with Kathie House at 248.232.4140.

  • College Transfer Days:  Tuesday, March 23 to Thursday, March 25. Over 35 public, private, and independent colleges will visit various OCC campuses.  View schedule

The OCC Orchard Ridge Theatre program presents Peter Shaffer's rollicking, Tony-nominated farce in which a young man tries to impress his fiancé’s father while desperately and hilariously dealing with a power failure and the ensuing confusion among his invited and uninvited guests.
