On-Campus: On
Articles / Databases
simply click on the name of the database.

Off-Campus: On this version of
Articles/Databases,
you should be able to log in to the library databases, using your OCC Online
Services ID and password (the same ones you use to log in for registration and
to check grades). Click on the link below to find out more about your
OCC Online Services ID and password.

Alternatively go to
OCC Online Services, click on
Students, and Login using
your Online Services ID and password. After logging in, under College
Resources, you will see Online Library Resources which has links
into the databases.
GENERAL TIPS
- Popups Databases open in their own windows.
Hit control and the link to temporarily override a popup blocker or disable the
blocker. For Internet Explorer 6, go to Tools, Popup Blocker and Turn Off Popup
Blocker.
- Cookies Cookies must be enabled to use
the databases from off-campus. In Internet Explorer 6, go to Tools, Internet
Options, then to the Privacy Tab. Set the slide to Medium, Low or Accept All
Cookies. Apply and OK.
- Norton Internet Security program Norton
Internet Security (not Norton Anti-Virus) may block access into databases.
This can be temporarily turned off. Go into the controls for the program to
disable it.
- Ad-Blocker programs may need to be
temporarily disabled.
- Firewalls may need to be temporarily disabled.
- Legitimate OCC Users Only Only students
currently taking classes or persons employed by OCC will be able to get into
the databases from off campus.
- On- and Off-Campus - The following are designed to provide
links for remote connection, but can be used either on- or
off-campus.
- Blackboard for students -
You must be taking a class that uses Blackboard, and your instructor
must have requested a link to library resources.
- Educator - You must be taking a
class that uses Educator, and your instructor must have requested a link to
library resources.

Online Services
- This is available for all students.
- Faculty - Sign in with your OCC ID and
password.

MeL
Databases - Log in using your state ID or driver's license.
- If all else fails, ask a librarian for a print-out of special IDs and
passwords.
