Here is a list of clubs/organizations that are taking place now!

AnimEtion Club:  Come one, come all to the AnimEtioN Club!  Formerly the token anime club of OCC, the AnimEtioN Club encompasses much more than just Japanese animation.  Everything from live action movies to classic cartoons of both American and Japanese creation are shown on a weekly basis.  A place to come and enjoy your favorite media is what we provide, and all we ask in return is respect for the rules. Blueprint Architecture Club:  The Blueprint Club’s purpose is to promote excellence in architecture education, training and practice and to foster an appreciation of architecture and related disciplines. It’s here to organize students and combine their efforts to advance in the art and science of architecture. The club organizes field trips of historical architecture as well as modern and recently constructed buildings. Students are encouraged to attend meetings when they are called to discuss ideas on things that the club can accomplish. The students are the drive behind the club and welcome any architecture student, full or part time, to join. CŌMPAS (formerly known as Student Mentor Program), stands for Campus Ōrganization for Moral, Personal and Academic Support.   It is a student-run club supported by the student body. Our goal is to help, encourage, provide, promote and develop friendships through a providing a much needed support system. We strive to get American and international students networking and familiar with school resources while enhancing the community college experience. In addition, CŌMPAS is dedicated to community service and providing social opportunities for students.  General meetings are held in G-228 every Tuesday at 4 pm. Criminal Justice Student Association:  The purpose of the Criminal Justice Student Association shall be to educate support and provide experiential learning in the Criminal Justice field for the Criminal Justice student body. Our Goal is to create social network relationships between students, alumni and working Criminal Justice professionals, that focuses on building communities of members who share interests and activities within the Criminal Justice field. Film Society: The objective of the Film Society is to explore film as a form of art and as entertainment, in order to enhance our understanding of the medium, and to promote the appreciation of film within the greater college community. Meetings tentatively scheduled for the Third Wed of each month in D325. Gamers Guild: The goal of this group is to have fun playing all types of games (including video games, tabletop games, board games etc) with fellow gamers. International Youth Fellowship (IYF): Is a youth organization based on Christian values, the IYF hopes to develop leaders of the next generation through spiritual fellowship, cultural exchange, and volunteer service.  The IYF is currently established in over 70 different countries around the world and many different universities, colleges, and other tertiary institutions. The IYF engages in weekly Bible studies, cultural performances, national and international conferences, and the one year overseas volunteer program the “Good News Corps”.  For more information and club meeting times and locations, contact:

PTK (Phi Theta Kappa) - A nationally recognized academic honor society, it participates in numerous on-campus and off-campus events, including many community service projects. Q-FLAG:  The purpose of Q-FLAG is to provide students an opportunity to have a safe environment to meet people in the LGBTQ community and feel free to be themselves.  This includes visiting other venues, meeting other LGBTQ professionals , attending conferences and workshops; engaging in research; discussing and/or holding activities relating to pertinent LGBTQ topics with the student body; and, networking within the LGBTQ community as a means of enhancing the members academic and social outlook.  Please join us!  Contact President Brandyp36@yahoo.com or Advisor Kathy Tiell at kltiell@oaklandcc.edu for more information!


SA3 Student Government: SA3, which stands for Student Activity & Action Alliance, is the official student governing body of the Auburn Hills Campus.  The purpose of SA3 is to promote student participation in campus activities and decision making processes; enhance the quality of student recognition as it relates to student rights and concerns through student guided conflict resolution; promote commitment to individual responsibilities according to the policies, procedures and bylaws of OCC; and activities, and programs to benefit the student body academically and socially, and foster campus–community connectivity.   Each year, Elections are held campus wide during the first week of April for its Executive Board of Officers.  Candidates interested in running for each year’s Executive Board must submit an application electronically to the Student Life Office between Jan 15th and February 4th (please email occahstudentcenter@oaklandcc.edu to obtain this form).  In addition to the SA3 Exec Board’s elected officers, its voting membership is made up of one Officer from each registered student organization.  General Membership is extended to the student body at large; i.e. all AH Campus enrolled students are members.  General Membership Meetings are held every first Friday of the month from 1:30-3:00pm in G240.  General Membership Meetings give students an opportunity to voice concerns and receive updates on current issues and projects the SA3 is working on relevant to the student body.  Student issues or suggestions for consideration of the Exec Board may be submitted via a SA3 Student Concern/Suggestion Form and dropped off in the Student Life Office, G108; via email to ahstudentcenter@oaklandcc.edu; or in person at a General Membership Meeting.  Forms may be downloaded by clicking here: SA3 Student Concern/Suggestion Form. Writers Block: The purpose of Writers Block is to provide a creative and performance venue for writers of all genres through poetry readings, discussion of member writings, open mic events, workshops and campus wide literature projects.  Open writing sessions are held in the Student Center (G Bldg) near the piano every Friday from 3:30-5:00pm.
