Pavement removals on westbound Featherstone have been completed along with storm sewer repairs, relocations and upgrades. The contractor will be grout filling the old abandoned water main and working on final grade next week. Main line concrete paving is expected to begin toward the end of next week (approximately May 7th). Main line paving will begin at the I-75 bridge and work toward Squirrel Road, and then work from the I-75 bridge to Opdyke.
During main line paving, eastbound Featherstone will be reduced to one lane so that cement trucks have a travel back to the concrete batch plant located at the corner of Featherstone and Opdyke. There may be minor eastbound traffic delays while cement trucks are transporting material.
Cross over and driveway connections to the main line pavement will follow as soon as the concrete cures. The project remains on schedule where westbound is expected to be re-opened in early June.
