A Message from the Chancellor

Welcome to Oakland Community College

Dr. Timothy R. Meyer, Chancellor

OCC is committed to student success. Founded in 1964, the College has served one million students since it opened its doors. We provide academic and developmental experiences that allow each student to reach their full potential and enhance the diverse communities in which they live and work.

OCC is a multi-campus system with five beautiful, well-maintained campuses strategically located throughout Oakland County - Auburn Hills, Highland Lakes in Waterford, Orchard Ridge in Farmington Hills, Royal Oak and Southfield. All campuses are the size of an average stand-alone community college, and we take pride in our emphasis on student-centered instruction.

OCC offers approximately 100 certificate and degree programs, including university transfer degrees in liberal arts, science and business. The College’s unmatched array of career offerings ranges from one of the most well-regarded nursing programs in Michigan to an award-winning culinary program boasting many renowned executive chefs regionally and nationally.

Students intending to transfer to four-year schools make up nearly half of OCC’s student body. OCC students most frequently transfer to Oakland University, Wayne State University, the University of Michigan, Michigan State University, and Walsh College.

Explore OCC’s website and experience firsthand the extensive career paths and services the College offers. Fostering student success and fulfillment is the primary goal of OCC’s professional and dedicated faculty members.

Visit our campuses, talk to our educational counselors, and see the magnificent learning environment OCC presents to all who come here.

Thank you for your interest in Oakland Community College. We hope to see you soon.
