IMPORTANT! New Prerequisite for Online and Hybrid Courses

In order to register for online or hybrid courses, students are now required to register for and pass the new Online Learning Readiness course.

The course takes approximately three (3) hours to complete.

How to Enroll

  1. Log into MyOCC using your OCC credentials.
  2. Go to the Students menu.
  3. Click on Register for Online Learning Readiness Course.
    Note: Once you successfully register for the Online Learning Readiness course, you will be enrolled into the course site in D2L within one business day.

Accessing the Online Learning Readiness Course

  1. Log into D2L.
  2. Click on the Select a course... dropdown menu.
  3. Select the Online Learning Readiness course for which you registered.

After Grades are Posted You May Register for Online or Hybrid Courses

After you successfully pass the course with a grade of 75% or better, your passing final grade will be posted with one business day. Once your passing final grade is posted, you will then be able to register for online and hybrid courses.

Flexibility in your education matters. OCC online learning allows you to take college courses wherever you want to—you'll just need a computer and Internet access.

The D2L platform used by OCC provides state-of-the-art opportunities for students to engage with professors and other classmates in an online environment. Class sizes are limited and OCC provides a help desk designated for D2L students to assist with any technical issues pertaining to D2L.

Prospective students who would like to engage in online learning should follow the standard admissions process. For students who are already enrolled at OCC, please speak to your counselor to be sure you register for an online learning class that’s right for you.
