2021 Virtual Commencement Ceremony

On behalf of the Board of Trustees, faculty and staff of OCC, we are so proud of you and your achievements. We also extend our congratulations to the family and friends who have been instrumental in supporting our graduates’ educational journeys.

In light of state and federal Coronavirus (COVID-19) recommendations regarding large events, our 2021 Commencement ceremonies will be held virtually on June 12. While a virtual event does not take the place of a traditional commencement, it does allow us to recognize you – and still celebrate in style.

College Ceremonies

Pre-recorded ceremonies will be released at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 12, and can be viewed below. Your individual graduate recognition slides will be in alphabetical order for each OCC commencement ceremony. There will be four ceremonies:

  1. Arts and Communications
  2. Business, Management, Marketing, Technology, and Engineering, Manufacturing & industrial Technology
  3. General Studies
  4. Science, Health Sciences, and Human Services

To find which ceremony your degree or certificate will be recognized, search Careers Clusters.

Your personal slide will be available after the virtual commencement on June 12 at 10am  To view a specific slide, please visit our StageClip website.

Graduate Photos on Campus

We encourage all of our OCC Graduates to visit our five beautiful campuses to take photos to capture this special milestone.  We have provided this flyer as suggested locations on each campus.  Don’t forget to share your photos on OCC’s Social Media and add the hashtag #OCCGrad2021!

Social Media

We may not be celebrating commencement in person, but that doesn’t mean we can’t get social! We’ll be sharing YOUR pictures and videos leading up to the virtual commencement and all day on June 12. There are many ways to get involved:

  • Take a selfie with our graduation filters on Snapchat, Instagram, or Facebook
  • Take a selfie in your cap
  • Show off your Grad Box by posting a picture or even an “unboxing” video
  • Record a video or take a selfie as your name is called during the ceremony
  • Watch your ceremony above and chat along with your fellow grads in the comments
  • ...and share it all with us on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter using the hashtag #OCCGrad2021!

Keep in Touch

Please keep in touch with your OCC family. Let us know about your accolades and triumphs. If you can overcome a global pandemic … nothing stands in your way! Good luck and we wish you all the best in your future endeavors.

OCC Alumni: Begin Your Tradition

Our graduates tell us how grateful they are for the help they received as students. Guidance and encouragement from faculty and staff, and financial support from OCC Foundation scholarships all help our students achieve success.

Begin your tradition today of helping those who follow. You can honor the person who helped you most at OCC with a gift to the Student Success Fund. Or, give to a scholarship for students in your program of study.
