Hope for Survivors

Human trafficking is the fastest growing illegal business enterprise in the world. It is modern day slavery. Local organizations are building safe homes for these victims that provide services to help them take their life back. One key element of building their new life is education.

The Hope for Survivors Scholarship is part of that effort. Requested through a confidential application and awarded anonymously, this scholarship supports survivors of human trafficking studying at OCC. Our student organizations successfully raised over $1,500 in Fall 2018, and the first recipient has enrolled in her first-ever college class in Winter 2019.

You can help continue this important scholarship. Each $500 we raise represents one scholarship that roughly covers the cost of a class and textbooks. Your gift today in any amount will ensure that students who have escaped human trafficking will have every opportunity to realize their potential. Please give as generously as you can at the level that is right for you.
