High School/Dual Enrolled Students

Interested in being a High School Guest/Dual-Enrolled student? First discuss with your parents and high school counselor.  Opportunities vary by individuals and by high school district.

High School Guests/Dual-Enrolled students need to complete an online OCC Application for Admission and High School Guest/Dual-Enrollment Approval form for each semester. Attach the completed High School Guest/Dual-Enrollment Approval form to the online application.

The following steps will guide you through the process of becoming a high school guest/dual enrolled student at OCC.

STEP 1: COMPLETE THE HIGH SCHOOL GUEST/DUAL ENROLLMENT APPROVAL FORM AND OBTAIN ALL REQUIRED SIGNATURES.

STEP 2: CREATE AN ADMISSIONS PROFILE & COMPLETE AN ONLINE APPLICATION

Go to apply. Select 'Create An Admissions Profile'. Complete the profile form and click the 'Create Profile' button. On the Admissions Profile Page, Select Step #2 'Apply Now, Start an Application'. Complete the Application for Admission. IMPORTANT: Select "High School Guest/Dual Enrollment Student" from the drop down menus for Career Cluster, Academic Program and Admit Type.

STEP 3: UPLOAD HIGH SCHOOL APPROVAL FORM

On your Admission Profile Page, click Step #4 'Upload Documents, Submit Supplemental Items'. Here you will upload your completed High School Approval Form.  Your application cannot be processed without this form, completed and attached. Please allow two (2) business days for processing. A confirmation email will be sent once your application has been processed.

STEP 4: SET UP A MYOCC ACCOUNT & OCC EMAIL

After you receive confirmation that your application has been processed, log into your MyOCC Account. Be sure to set up SECURITY QUESTIONS - this will allow you to reset your own password if needed. Once logged in to MyOCC, sign in to Student Email to ACTIVATE your required OCC EMAIL account. Check your email often for important news & updates.

STEP 5: NEW STUDENT ORIENTATION - ONLINE

Students new to OCC are required to complete the New Student Orientation before registration.  You must have an OCC ID and account to access the link. Go to MyOCC, log in, and select New Student Orientation. After you have completed the survey, remember to click "Mark Course Completed" and print your certificate to finish the orientation.

STEP 6: PLACEMENT TESTING

If you are attending OCC for the first time, take any required assessment tests for placement purposes.  Be sure to visit the Academic Support Center for assistance.

*SAT or ACT scores may be utilized.

STEP 7: MEET WITH A COUNSELOR

OCC now requires Mandatory Counseling for all incoming first-time college students. Call for an appointment with a counselor at a campus convenient to you or set up a ZOOM meeting!

Make the most of your counseling appointment: Complete STEPS 1 - 6 before meeting with a counselor.

STEP 8: REGISTER FOR CLASSES VIA MyOCC

Register and pay for your class(es) by the payment deadline. For dual-enrollment students, payment vouchers confirming the high school district is paying for your class(es) must be received by the Cashier's Office at any campus by the payment deadline.

STEP 10: GET YOUR RAIDER ONE CARD

The Raider One Card is your Official OCC Student ID. It serves as your Student ID, Library Card, Copy/Print Card, and iROC Cash for Raiders Store and Cafe purchases. Your first card is free, replacement cards cost $10.

STEP 11: BUY YOUR BOOKS

The Raider Bookstore offers competitive prices. Order your books online or pick them up in person from the assigned campus.
