OCC Public Safety has determined the death of OCC student Justin Tucker to be an accident. The preliminary cause of death is asphyxiation. A final cause of death will be determined by the Oakland County Medical Examiner’s office. This remains an active investigation, which includes a mechanical review of his vehicle. Counselors are available to meet with students, staff and faculty members at any campus site for anyone who desires support. Extra counseling appointments and walk in times have been established at all campuses. Hours of operation and locations for the Counseling offices College-wide are posted below.

It is with deep sadness OCC reports student Justin Tucker, 30, of Ortonville, Michigan, died earlier this evening in an isolated and unfortunate accident in Parking Lot 1 on the Auburn Hills Campus. No one else was involved and there is no foul play suspected. OCC Public Safety is investigating and being assisted by the Auburn Hills Traffic Investigation Unit. The family of Justin Tucker has been notified.
