The College will comply with all applicable local, state, and federal environmental, health, safety, nuclear, and transportation rules and regulations to ensure that its obligations under their associated laws are met. Every employee has responsibilities in maintaining a safe and healthy workplace. Specific responsibilities will be communicated to affected employees and training provided.
Employee Training - OCC will provide training and education to its employees to communicate and increase awareness of regulatory obligations, safe work practices, and risk reduction in the workplace. Training programs will combine regulatory requirements, College directives, and best management practices.
Student Health and Safety – The College will provide students with the same level of protection as the College provides its employees. Additional precautions and protections may be afforded to students if the College determines such actions to be prudent, and in the interest of the institution and its students.
Environmental Stewardship - Being an integral part of the communities we serve, the College recognizes its responsibilities to maintain and improve the environment we share. As such, the College will endeavor to minimize its negative impact on the environment.
