Policy Statement

A. Authorization
Construction projects which are deemed within the scope of construction management services shall be submitted to the Executive Director of Facilities Operations for approval as follows:

    1. Projects and the related estimated total project cost will be taken to the Executive Director of Facilities Operations for approval. Upon approval of the project budget the Construction Manager will solicit bids for construction per Section 3.3.1 CONSTRUCTION - Public Bids.
    2. The Construction Manager will execute any contracts necessary for an approved Project on behalf of the College with the lowest qualified bidder after consulting with the Vice Chancellor for Administrative Services or the Executive Director of Facilities Operations College.
    3. If the contractor selected is not the lowest qualified bidder, approval must be obtained from the Executive Director of Facilities Operations prior to executing said contract and documentation for reason maintained.

B. Change Orders
Change orders to construction project contracts will be handled in accordance with Section 3.2.2
GENERAL PURCHASES.
