The associate degree in management development - business management qualifies you for positions with supervisory responsibility, entry-level management, and team leader.  If you want to work with customer service or relations could also benefit from its degree. The degree also provides a solid business foundation upon which you can build toward a bachelor's degree in fields such as business, management, marketing, hospitality and public relations.  As an OCC graduate, you can go on to earn a bachelor degrees and MBA's.

Did you know? The median annual wage for entry level management was $62,270 in May 2018. The medium wage is the wage at which half the workers in an occupation earned more than that amount and half earned less.  The lowest 10% earned less than $30,860, and the highest 10% earned more than $120,410. *Bureau of Labor Statistics

ELIGIBILITY INFORMATION

Prospective students must meet standard OCC eligibility requirements – there is an open admissions policy and placement tests and new student orientation are required in most cases. Students should meet with a counselor before attempting this plan of study.

BUSINESS MANAGEMENT

The Associate Degree in Management Development prepares a you to enter a career in administrative management, transportation, training and development, social and community service, public relations or general management.

Before taking business courses, students should consult a counselor since the requirements of four-year colleges and universities, both private and public, vary considerably.

Graduating from this program does not automatically qualify you for the Michigan Transfer Agreement (MTA) endorsement. If you are seeking MTA endorsement you will need to work closely with an OCC counselor to identify classes from the MTA list which apply to the endorsement and to degree requirements.
