Pre-Engineering

The Pre-Engineering Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree enables students to complete nearly half of the required credits needed to earn an engineering bachelor’s degree that will seamlessly transfer to a four-year institution. This degree provides students with more engineering courses than other similar associate programs, providing a deeper dive into the engineering field. 

In addition, students who complete the OCC Pre-Engineering AAS degree will also be qualified to work as an engineering technician in the electrical, mechanical, computer or industrial industries.

ELIGIBILITY INFORMATION

This program is offered on the Auburn Hills campus.

Prospective students must meet standard OCC eligibility requirements - there is an open admissions policy and placement tests and new student orientation are required in most cases. Students should meet with an OCC counselor before attempting this plan of study.
