Transfer Credit Agreements

Using a transfer credit agreement (articulation agreement) will help you achieve your educational goals while saving time and money. This is because these agreements provide a clear roadmap to ensure that you take the appropriate courses for your degree. Visit Transfer Student FAQs to learn more.

Current transfer credit agreement guides are listed by partnering institution and by OCC program. If a transfer credit agreement is not available for your OCC program of study, the intended transfer institution and/or the intended transfer program, please speak with an OCC counselor to maximize your transfer potential. Additional transfer credit agreement opportunities are continuously being explored.

Agreements for Associate Degrees in Applied Programs

The MIWorkforce Pathways initiative provides guidance for transfer agreements between many Associate in Applied Sciences programs and bachelor’s degree completion programs at Michigan’s public and private colleges and universities.

Agreements for Popular Bachelor Degree Programs

The Michigan Transfer Pathways consist of the most popular bachelor’s degree majors pursued by Michigan college students, guaranteeing that the identified OCC courses will be applied toward fulfilling requirements at participating institutions. Pathways are roadmaps that are designed for students who know what major they would like to pursue even if they have not decided what institution they would like to transfer to.

Complete Your OCC Degree After Transfer

If you are transferring from OCC before completing an associate degree, a reverse transfer agreement may allow you to qualify to earn your OCC degree without taking any additional courses at OCC.

A reverse transfer agreement applies credits earned at your 4-year institution toward an OCC associate degree. Both degrees are completed at the same time, so earning an OCC associate degree will not interfere with the courses and path to completing your bachelor’s degree at your 4-year transfer institution.
