Basic Reserve Officer Training
The purpose of this program is to acquaint trainees with the skills and knowledge needed to perform the duties and responsibilities of a reserve officer.

- Unexplained Death, Crime Scene Management
Eligibility: Candidates will be admitted upon the written recommendation of a Chief, Director or Sheriff of a law enforcement agency, and will be subject to the rules and regulations of the Oakland Police Academy during the training sessions.
All students must have:
- Duty Firearm: No sub-compact weapons
- Duty Flashlight with pouch
- Duty Handcuffs with pouch
- Duty Holster with at-least a Level I retention.
- Any higher retention level is not required or recommended
- 3 magazines
- Double magazine pouch. Triple would be approved
- Hat

- DATES: January 9 - April 12, 2025
- TIME: Thursdays 6:45 pm - 10:00 pm & Saturdays 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
- COSTS: $725.00 – if the Oakland Police Academy provides ammunition
