Course Description:
The course is designed to provide advanced skillsets for officers to contain and apprehend armed suspects inside of a structure.
Day 1 – Advanced Room Control Skillsets (Dynamic, Hybrid and Methodical)
- Intro to Adv room control concepts
- Techniques and Core Fundamentals
- Baseline
- Adv Room Movement & Control (Single room, partner/dry)
- Adv Room Movement & Control (Single room, 3-4/Dry)
- Isolation Drills (Partner/Single Room)
Day 2 – Hallways, Hot Walls, Gaining Access
- Understanding macro vs. micro movements inside a structure
- Gaining Access/Equipment Considerations
- Hallway & Multi-room Movement, Hot Wall mitigation, and prioritization (Dry)
- Small Unit Room Movement & Control (“Force-on-Target” Drills)
- Small Unit Macro Movement Isolation Drills (“Force-on-Target Drills)
Day 3 – Planning & Scenarios
- Adv Crisis Response Planning Exercises
- High Threat Team Management
- Scenario Briefing/Planning & Course Review
- Final Training Exercises: Scenarios

- Primary/Secondary Weapon system
- Weapon sling (rifle) & Retention
- Duty Vest
- Belt
- Operational loadout
- Clear (approved for range) eye protection
- Long sleeves
- Gloves (optional)
- Manual Breaching Equipment (Optional)
- Additional Supplemental Equipment for Team (Robots, Drones)
- “Chem lights” Blue / Red (Optional)
- Notepad, pen and Planning Aids for Day 3 (Optional)
