INSTRUCTOR: Amy Eggleston - Livescan Analyst, Michigan State Police Biometrics and Identification Division. Amy has been with MSP for 9 years; 6 in her current position.  As the Livescan Analyst, she’s responsible for training agencies in fingerprinting techniques, helping set up new livescans, and quality assurance reviews.  Her duties bring her in contact with several different areas at MSP including digital image analysis, DNA collection, criminal history record research and jail management systems.

COURSE DESCRIPTION: This 4-hour course is designed for anyone responsible for processing prisoners’ fingerprints, mugshots, and/or DNA. Students will learn best practices and current standards for fingerprinting, taking mugshots, and collecting DNA. The course also covers reading and correcting criminal histories, as well as troubleshooting errors on the livescan.
