INSTRUCTOR: Brian Luettke - Supervisory Special Agent, ATF-Retired. Brian has 29-years of law enforcement experience with U.S. Customs, City of Novi (MI) Police Department, and ATF. He taught firearms and ammunition identification at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) in Glynco, GA, and to police officers in Europe, Africa, and Canada. Brian has also testified numerous times as an expert witness in Federal court in cases involving various firearm and ammunition topics.  

COURSE DESCRIPTION:  This one-day course is for police officers who have limited knowledge and experience about firearms beyond their duty issued guns. Students will learn how to safely handle and identify firearms ranging from revolvers to machine guns. Participants will also learn how to correctly identify U.S. and imported firearms ensuring they are putting the actual manufacturer and serial number in their reports.

This is hands-on training will help police officers who want to increase their overall knowledge involving many types and styles of firearms. Students will be taught how to safely handle, unload, and correctly identify over 50 various types of firearms.

  • Comparing real silencers to fake silencers
