Instructor:

Gordon Morse, M.A. - Gordon served as a police officer with city of Dearborn for over 26 years. Most of that time was spent on patrol, as well as being a firearms instructor, field training officer, defensive tactics instructor, Explorer advisor, K-9 handler and department chaplain for over 24 years, a role he continues to fill. In addition, Gordon also instructs and serves as the chaplain for the Oakland Police Academy and is a Master Trainer with the National Association of Professional Canine Handlers (NAPCH). He also serves as the chaplain for the NAPCH.

Mr. Morse was an Assistant Pastor at Strictly Biblical Bible Teaching Ministries for 20 years, and currently teaches and preaches at churches throughout the area. Gordon has a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Michigan in Criminal Justice, Psychology, and Sociology. He earned his Master’s Degree from Liberty University in Christian Apologetics.

Course Description:

This training provides key instruction on how to effectively minister to law enforcement personnel. This will be accomplished by classroom learning and police academy based scenarios. This will help facilitate better understanding of the stresses and critical thinking skills required of a law enforcement officer. The training will provide chaplains who can effectively provide support to the law enforcement officers they minister to.
