Public Act 330 Training for Police Authority

Course Description:

This 120-hour training program meets the standards mandated by the Michigan Commission on Law Enforcement Standards (MCOLES) for Public Act 330 academies for police authority. Instruction will be provided by experienced law enforcement professionals from the staff of the Oakland Police Academy who are subject matter experts in the topic they are presenting.

Course Details if Firearms Required:

  • Dates: January 8, 2025 - January 31, 2025
    • Please note: the firearms portion will take place on Wednesday, January 8, Thursday, January 9 and Friday, January 10th, 2025.
  • Time:  8:00 am - 4:30 pm (Times subject to change)
  • Cost: $625.00 (Includes 120 hours of training, classroom materials/handouts and three (3) additional days (January 8, January 9, and January 10) of firearms training mandated by MCOLES. The Oakland Police Academy will provide ammunition, along with eye and ear protection.)
