OCC Board Elects Officers, Welcomes New Trustee

The Oakland Community College Board of Trustees has elected new officers for 2025. 

The board leadership for the next year: 

  • President: Kathleen Bertolini of Clarkston, is a retired middle school teacher, Workday Change Management lead in Government and Education at Accenture, elected to the Board in 2016.
  • Vice President: Edward D. Callaghan of Royal Oak is a long-time educator, administrator and community leader, elected to the Board in 2023.
  • Secretary: Pamela Jackson of Commerce Township is a retired OCC faculty member and owner/consultant of Fresh Perspectives, elected to the Board in 2016.
  • Treasurer: Meg Lambert of Waterford is Vice President of Finance at Action Benefits and a retired OCC faculty member. She began serving as a newly elected trustee in 2025.
  • Trustee: Shirley Bryant of Farmington Hills is a retired Executive Director of Community Relations for Birmingham Public Schools, elected to the Board in 2008. 
  • Trustee: Pamala Davis of Clawson is a retired code enforcement officer for the City of Royal Oak, elected to the Board in 1994.
  • Trustee: Susan Gibson of Lake Orion is Regional Director of Client Services and Business Development at Rehmann, elected to the Board in 2020. 

“With their diverse backgrounds and professional experiences, the members of the Oakland Community College Board of Trustees play a critical role in guiding the College’s commitment to our students and the community,” said OCC Chancellor Peter Provenzano, Jr.

Newly Elected Trustee, Margaret “Meg” Lambert 

Lambert is currently Vice President of Finance at Action Benefits and previously served as Auburn Hills Campus Academic Chair of Business and an Accounting and Business Law Faculty at Oakland Community College.  

 She has been elected to numerous state and local board positions in the education and community sectors. Lambert also served as Vice President of Two-Year Colleges for the Michigan Association of Higher Education. She begins her six-year term on the OCC Board of Trustees this January. 

“We are delighted to welcome Meg Lambert to the OCC Board. Her background at OCC and her leadership positions with numerous higher education organizations will be a valued addition to the Board of Trustees,” said Provenzano.   

The seven members of the OCC board of trustees are elected on a nonpartisan basis by voters living within the College district, an area that generally coincides with the boundaries of Oakland County. Trustees serve as volunteers and are not paid for their services.
