OCC student artists shine at fourth annual juried art exhibit through April 25
The Pontiac Creative Arts Center is running an exciting new collection of art by Oakland Community College (OCC) students, featuring diverse mediums including drawing, painting, photography, jewelry, sculpture, ceramics and design.

The juried, multidisciplinary exhibition, organized by OCC Art Faculty Lindsey Dezman, highlights the impressive talent of current OCC students. The artwork on display was created in OCC art classes within the past year, submitted by students and selected through a competitive jury process.
"Prepare to be inspired at OCC’s fourth annual student art exhibition in Pontiac,” said OCC Chancellor Peter Provenzano. “Our students, faculty and staff in art, music and theatre are incredibly talented—they and our community really benefit from shows like this one.”
Provenzano noted art programming is deeply woven within OCC’s 60-year history, expressing pride in the many artists who got their start at the College, alongside the dedicated faculty and staff who supported them.
“The artists in this show continue to shine a light on the remarkable talent and creativity that thrives in our community,” he said. He also extended his gratitude to Lindsey Dezman and the talented OCC art faculty and staff who work tirelessly to teach, nurture, and provide opportunities for students and the community.

During the April4 awards event, 11 OCC student artists received additional recognition and cash prizes for their outstanding work, thanks to the generous support of The Kegham Tazian Art Prize Fund.
