Fire Fighter Technology (FFT.AAS)

Program Outcomes

Program outcomes represent broad areas of knowledge and skills developed over the duration of the program through a wide range of courses and experiences. These learning outcomes represent what a student should be able to know, think, or do upon successful completion of their program at Oakland Community College.

  • Student will recognize the role of fire departments as part of local governments.

  • Students will identify mental health issues and warning signs of suicide in firefighters.

  • Students will examine the significance of fire ground communications and identify the roles of the National Incident Management System (NIMS) and Incident Management System (ICS) as it relates to strategy and tactics.
