Program Outcomes
Program outcomes represent broad areas of knowledge and skills developed over the duration of the program through a wide range of courses and experiences. These learning outcomes represent what a student should be able to know, think, or do upon successful completion of their program at Oakland Community College.
- Students will understand the role and ethical standards of the professional in a human/social service agency.
- Students will demonstrate professional roles and boundaries, including personal reflection on developing professional skills in working with individuals, families and groups.
- Students will apply critical thinking to inform decision making frameworks and communicate professional judgement.
- Students will acquire a beginning knowledge of the planned changed process components of engagement, assessment, intervention with individuals, groups, organizations, and families.
