Summer registration opens March 6; Fall registration opens March 27 for new students, and those looking to transfer credits as guest students.
With almost 70% of job applications requiring a degree or credential, getting a degree matters. Increase your earning potential and save money by completing a degree or certificate at OCC. The College offers one of the lowest tuition rates in Michigan, a half million dollars in scholarships (money that does not need to be paid back) and nearly 100 degree and certificate programs.
Current and future OCC students, as well as guest students who will be home for the summer, can register online in March for both summer and fall semester classes. Summer classes begin May 6 and fall semester begins August 26.
OCC will continue to feature a variety of course formats including in-person on campus; hybrid courses - a combination of in-person and online; and 100 percent online courses for maximum flexibility. Variety of Ways Available to Help Pay for Tuition
OCC offers one of the lowest in-district tuition rates in Michigan with a variety of one-time grants, government financial aid programs and free scholarships available for OCC students for the summer and fall semesters:
- Summer Momentum Scholarship – Students who have completed 16 or more credit hours at OCC, with a C average or better, are encouraged to apply for OCC’s Summer Momentum Scholarship, which provides up to $752 towards summer tuition.
- Chancellor’s Scholarship- 2024 Oakland County high school graduates may qualify for a $4,000 Chancellor’s Scholarship at OCC. The scholarship provides $2,000 each semester for fall 2024 and winter 2025 courses.
- OCC Scholarship Universe - Students are encouraged to apply to Scholarship Universe, a scholarship-matching tool that connects students to internal and external scholarship opportunities. For more information visit https://www.oaklandcc.edu/finaid/scholarships.aspx.
- FAFSA - All college students are encouraged to apply for college financial aid through the U.S. Department of Education. Students should complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at https://studentaid.gov/h/apply-for-aid/fafsa. Applying for FAFSA opens up additional opportunities for grants, scholarships and more.
- Michigan Reconnect - OCC, in partnership with the Michigan Reconnect program, is offering free in-district tuition to qualifying Michigan residents at least 21 years of age who want to earn an associate degree or certificate. Visit https://www.oaklandcc.edu/mireconnect.
