Course Prerequisites for Guest Students

Guest students are waived from prerequisites for many, but not all OCC courses. A list of subjects that require verification of prerequisite completion is below. 

If you see the following note in the description of the course you wish to register for, you will be required to verify completion of prerequisites before registering for the course.

Note: Prerequisites for courses in this department are not automatically waived for College Guest students and students with a bachelor's degree or higher from a U.S. institution.

How to Verify Prerequisite Completion

In order to verify completion of course prerequisites, you will need to email the Counseling Office at your preferred campus with:

  • A copy of your college transcript(s) and
  • A listing of the courses you wish to register at OCC as a Guest Student
