Student Essential Needs Fund
The expenses associated with college extend beyond tuition! The Student Essential Needs Fund is designed to offer financial assistance that allows you to prepare ahead, helping you navigate challenges in your academic journey by meeting often-overlooked basic needs that are crucial for success. This financial support will significantly contribute to fostering a nurturing and effective learning environment for OCC students, ultimately enhancing your academic success and well-being.
If approved, a student may receive up to $1,000 in monetary assistance for non-academic expenses, depending on availability of funds. Applicants should be degree-seeking students who have not obtained a post-secondary degree and do not have a current balance.
Additional program requirements:
- Completed at least 24 credits at OCC
- Currently registered at OCC for at least 12 credits
Applications will be accepted for a duration of two months leading up to the semester's start, concluding on the first day of the semester.
The financial support for this initiative comes from grant funding provided to the Oakland Community College Foundation.
