Student Government (College-wide)

Student Government exists to promote student involvement in campus activities, assist and maintain order among student organizations, represent concerns brought forth by the student body, and encourage community outreach.

Student Veteran Association (College-Wide)

Forensic Team (College-wide)

This speech, performance and debate team competes from September-April, travels to two or three tournaments a semester, and OCC covers the cost of judging, registration and etc.  Undergraduate students can compete in one or more events (Informative Speaking, Poetry, Dramatic Interpretation, Parliamentary Debate and more), earn college credit for their work, and can even be eligible for scholarship money. Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) Honor Society:  Leadership - Scholarship - Fellowship - Service

Gamers Alliance

It's our purpose to provide a fun, stress-free environment where students can game, chat, and easily make friends with people with a variety of interests. This club is a place where anyone can come and find a warm welcome because we accept, encourage and appreciate people from all walks of life. We love to game and we love to chat. Optimists International

The Optimist Club at Auburn Hills Campus is the collegiate branch of Optimists International, Clarkston, Michigan chapter. Optimist International is a worldwide volunteer organization made up of more than 2,500 local clubs whose members work each day to make the future brighter by bringing out the best in children, in their communities, and in themselves. Our collegiate club is committed to optimism and self-development for the improvement of youth and community. It gives OCC students opportunity to help local youth through membership in one of the largest service organizations in North America. Students for Sensible Drug Policy

Students for Sensible Drug Policy is a global student organization dedicated to ending the racially and economically devastating War on Drugs by replacing it with policies and conversation rooted in science, health, and human rights. We neither condemn or encourage drug use. We understand that drug use occurs, no matter the legality, and are dedicated to making sure that those who do use substances can do so as safely as possible, given the inherent risks of drug prohibition. HIGHLAND LAKES CAMPUS

Dental Hygienists Association

The professional organization for dental hygienists is the ADHA. There is a state component (Michigan Dental Hygienists Association) and a local component for Oakland County. Activities include dental health presentations to local schools and community organizations. All incoming dental hygiene students are charged a membership fee of $65 a year. Students are elected to the board from the student membership. The officers include: president & treasurer (2nd year students) and vice president & secretary (1st year students). Nursing Student Association

The Oakland Community College Nursing Student Association (OCCNSA) is an active group within the nursing program, the college and the community. It is a chapter member of the state (Michigan Nursing Student Association) and the national (National Student Nurse Association) organizations. OCCNSA is the largest chapter in the state of Michigan and 4th in the national group. OCCNSA holds monthly meetings on the second Monday of each month with special speakers. The group is also involved in many community activities including collecting school supplies for area children, food and blanket drives for area shelters, and volunteering in the Mobile Nurse Clinic. Support, Inspire, Grow and Network! The SIGN Club seeks to support and expand student knowledge of and experiences in American Sign Language and the Deaf community. Intercultural Student Organization

The Intercultural Student Organization (ISO) at Orchard Ridge campus enhances understanding of the differences between oneself and people from other countries or other backgrounds, especially differences in attitudes and values. The Mission of this organization is to provide support to international students, educate the community about cultures and religions throughout the world, celebrate diversity, and organize both entertaining and charitable events. We are the Jewish Student Organization (JSO) at Oakland Community College! Under the guidance of the Hillel of Metro Detroit, the JSO @ OCC host a variety of events (both on and off campus) to help bring Jewish life and culture to OCC campuses.

OCC Productions

Camera rolling... action! The OCC Productions film club was created for students who have a respect for film and the passion to create them. Whether it's in the pre-production phase (writing, planning, storyboarding, etc.), the production phase (shooting, lighting, directing, acting, etc.), or the post production phase (editing, screening, etc.). Just as important as making films we also screen films and videos for entertainment, inspiration, and aesthetic awareness.

National Leadership Society of Success

The Society is the nation's largest leadership honor society. Students are selected by their college for membership based on either academic standing or leadership potential. Candidacy is a nationally recognized achievement of honorable distinction. With over 475 chapters, the Society currently has over 475,000 members nationwide. In addition to honorable distinction, the Society provides a step-by-step program for members to build their leadership skills through participation at their campus or online. Upon completion of the program, members receive their leadership certificate and take their place among the top student leaders at their campus and across the country. Members are able to list their affiliation on all statements of personal accomplishment, including their resume. Membership is for life and provides access to benefits including scholarships and awards, exclusive on-campus events, employer recruitment through an online job bank, and discounts on computers, textbooks, grad school prep courses, insurance and much more.
